Alopecia is an autoimmune disease that causes unexpected hair loss. There are many different types of alopecia, but the most common types affect the scalp, causing patched hair loss and sometimes leading to full scalp balding, or even full-body hair loss! There is no cure for alopecia, and it is so unpredictable that no one is sure whether it will progress and gradually get worse, or whether it will just sort itself out, and the hair will gradually grow back.
By using scalp micropigmentation we can give those with full scalp hair loss the look of a full head of closely shaved hair. If you suffer from alopecia areata and have patched hair loss, we can conceal these patches by implanting the pigment in and around the area to camouflage the hair loss and make it practically unnoticeable. In this case, it is also possible to treat the whole head with scalp micropigmentation in case of any further patches occurring.
